The studio might have changed somethings different from the novel even if they were threatened like in the preview the family should be safe though, since Hong made it clear that no one is to touch Luo Feng's family, no one messes with Hong, besides the worlds number two Thunder God (the Martial Hall leader that Li Yao belongs to) and him are really good friends but remember, the previews tend to mislead what is going to happen lol

There's a lot of what the novel calls them ancient archeology sites around the world, which is why Li Yao managed to get a set of Black God Armor those sites are in fact ancient alien spaceships (one of them is actually Atlantis)
The one Luo Feng found is related to why Earth is hidden from the rest of the universe, and it related to why those Cloud Contact Vine and spirits of wood (the tentacles) are there but we wont know after he goes into an ancient archeology site and disappears for a year and a half and comes back to this place, unless the studio is going to change the story around and combines it, if they do, then it will mean Luo Feng becomes very strong
If it follows the novel then, let's just say some "thing" is waiting for someone to pass on techniques and skills but to do so they need to pass a test first

I think the studio is trying to showcase the alien aspect before the next season, since the change in the novel from what they are doing on Earth, fighting monsters, to all of a sudden outer space and aliens, AND their level of cultivation is way way lower than the rest of the universe comes at a big shock, I know a lot of people were like what da, when the outer space arc came lol

I am not really a fan of I Eat Tomatoes, his writings causes a lot of my brain cells to die when I read his novels, Swallowed Star was passable lol this is why I havent really touched Stellar Transformations or Lord Snow Eagle, I heard a lot of good reviews of it, but like most donghua, I read the novel first because I want to know the ending instead of waiting episode by episode lol, or find out later on the ending is disappointing, so I know when to drop the donghua once it gets to the point where the novel becomes really bad

The core is similar to dragon's blood, it boosts the user's strength a lot more and is more gentler when used, any level of users can use it, unlike dragon's blood where the higher the user's level the less effect it will have. The core or should I say spirits of nature have two main effects
- increases regeneration (if your arm is cut off, or a laser tears through your liver, you can regenerate it almost instantly)
- body fitness level greatly (if Li Yao takes it, he will increase his level from advanced war god to surpassing advanced war god)
In addition to those two functions, each spirits of nature possesses an unique use, example, removing poison, immune to poison, enhanced muscle mass, enhanced sensory perception etc, it is random)
Unlike dragon's blood which needs to be applied externally, spirits of nature can be ingested but only the liquid and not the hard shell
